My Place to Play: Supporting Childhood Development in Vulnerable Families

This initiative addresses a profound social challenge: supporting the early childhood development of infants living in confined spaces (including homeless, IPAS, and Traveller communities).
Appointed as the Managing Agent, our immediate challenge was to stabilise the existing supply chain, drive cost efficiencies, and secure reliable sourcing for bespoke play items suitable for small living spaces.
In 2023, we took over the contract delivery to procure and supply 2,000 Baby Play Bags (0-12 months) and 2,500 Toddler Play Bags (12-36 months) annually. Utilising our international sourcing expertise, we procured, shipped, and warehoused bespoke, CE-certified play items designed specifically for this unique, complex project. Our process included designing an online registration portal for service providers, allowing them to easily order the appropriate baby or toddler packs for families in their care.
We achieved 100% KPI completion since taking over the contract, ensuring every pack was delivered to service providers within expected timeframes. This project showcases our expertise in the creation and delivery of bespoke product design and sourcing, streamlining the ordering and delivery process.
The My Place to Play project in Ireland has shown highly positive results, successfully providing play resources (mats, toys) and guidance to families in limited spaces (homeless, international protection), significantly boosting parent-child play, increasing awareness of play's importance, and improving parent-child bonding, with high satisfaction from practitioners and parents.

"They not only sourced and organised prompt delivery of the play packs but they also added value by streamlining the ordering and delivery system."
